We have a proven process developed over the past twenty-five years called “The Breistol Method” which is Dating for Jobs. We mediate a matchmaking process and align expectations of both Construction Executives responsible for hiring and the construction management professionals they are seeking to hire. This is not a sales process; it is a mediation process by trained professionals who specialize in Construction Management and Real Estate Development.
We specialize in working with Ownership Groups, Development Firms, Owner Representation Firms, Construction Management and General Contractors both vertical and horizontal, including Luxury Residential, High-rise and all types of projects public and private project work, industrial, WWT, and all types of specialty firms that are both prime and third party including solar, glass and glazing and MEP specialty firms.
The firms we represent use various contracts including cost-plus, design and build, guaranteed maximum price, incentive construction, integrated project delivery, lump-sum time and materials, unit price.
We do not provide career matchmaking services for Tract Home builders, Municipalities and Government/Program Management firms, Architectural or Engineering firms other than Architectural Project Managers that act as liaisons between builder and A&E firm. In addition, we do not work in the asset management side of Real Estate except for construction managers that support leasing and capital improvement.
Like meeting with other professional businesses such as legal or financial services, there is no cost for an initial consultation for employee or employer. Executives/hiring managers contract us to source and mediate the hiring process to help them make more informed hiring decisions that they may not have the time and expert hiring resources internally to help them achieve. The mediation is free to selected job seekers.
Professional coaching services are available for a fee to both employers and individuals to aid them in defining, distinguishing, and developing communication and soft skills and a better understanding of their credentials for themselves or individuals within their organization. Individual sessions start at $250/hour and group sessions are priced based on the customization needed and group size.
We have a policy that we do our best help everyone, even if we help them with finding a solution that might not be us as its better aides them in meeting their professional goals at this time. We only ask that if you are happy with our services, you refer others to us that may not be achieving their career goals in Construction Management or Real Estate Development.
While FLCC works primarily with businesses based in Florida, we have experience filling positions across the country and the Caribbean. While we always prefer to meet with our candidates and companies face-to-face, we will gladly conduct a video chat or teleconference when time and or distance is a factor so we establish a rapport and get a personal sense of each individual’s and company’s style and culture.
We have an intake process that is geared towards learning about you, your career to date and personal/career goals. We will also answer any questions you may have about the current employment market, our process and any “sound career advice” you might need now.
We get to know you, your business model, your current organizational chart, culture and core values. In order to help you attract, qualify, hire, onboard and develop team members to help you sustain and grow your construction, or real estate development business, or support your corporate construction division if construction is a shared service within your business.
It is proven that when an individual is currently employed, they have better success in our mediation process because they are in a position to say no to the employer if expectations are not aligning during interview and offer process. In addition, they are not worried about lack of income stream during the time it takes to do a thorough interview process. Employers who focus on hiring the right person to join their team and not just filling a seat tend to offer a more stable and sustainable environment and value relationship.
