Mentorship Program

The FLCC Industry Mentoring Program is a partnership between you and your mentor with check ins and initial structure implemented by FLCC that is focused on developing career management skills and identifying career options and goals. Your mentor will use their skills, experience and knowledge to support you as you make decisions about your future.

The FLCC Industry Mentoring Program is a partnership between you and your mentor that is focused on developing career management and soft skills and identifying career options and goals. Your mentor will use their skills, experience and knowledge to support you as you make decisions about your future.  If any personal counseling is required outside of normal business protocol Mentor will agree to contact Randy Thomas, Director of Career Coaching, to offer professional counseling assistance to the individual having other challenges that may or may not be affecting career goals, but if addressed can improve qualify of life.

Parties:  Mentor, Individual being mentored (Mentoree), Both M & M and oversight FLCC

  • Consultant. Role Mentor Plays
  • Confidant (M&M)– both sides confide in one another for success
  • Encourager/Grateful Recipient (M&M)– No expectations – Thankful for time and advise of Mentor- Mentor thankful Individual signing up to be mentored is wanting to put extra time to learn from you
  • Commitment (M&M) – minimum of six months
  • One meeting a month face to face or video conference
  • One phone call a week to check in for encouragement (we need a request process for both side. Open to mentor and be mentored)
