Job Overview:

The Preconstruction Manager will work closely with estimating, architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors. This position will develop, document, and update workflow processes, as well as manage the bidding and buyout processes on multiple projects.

The Preconstruction Manager will coordinate the detail costs estimates at the schematic design, design development, and construction documentation phases of the project. Support duties include the overall marketing efforts, business strategy initiatives, and client capture strategies for the commercial market. The candidate in this role will develop GMP estimates and procurement/construction schedules, along with developing reporting and communication tools for the projects.

The qualified candidate will have ten plus (10+) years of experience in commercial construction. This candidate must have the ability to lead, manage, and motivate their project team during the entirety of their projects. This role requires the ability to coordinate the project from the first estimate through subcontracts being formalized. Additionally, this candidate must be proficient in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software (Sage or similar), takeoff software (Onscreen Takeoff or similar), BIM tools (Revit, Assemble, etc.) a plus, project management software (Procore or similar), and scheduling software (Project or similar).
