Mechanical General Superintendent (Fort Lauderdale, FL)


Mechanical General Superintendent Summary:

Responsible for executing and supervising all self-performed projects with the assistance of the project manager, and all construction field personnel. As general superintendent your job is to plan, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. The general superintendent will work closely with upper management to make sure the scope and direction of each project is on schedule & budget, as well as coordinate with other departments for support.

Mechanical General Superintendent Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise all construction field crews
  • Plan and coordinate crews with tasks to be performed and monitor performance.
  • Schedule teams to make sure projects are running efficiently and on budget
  • Supervision of all HVAC installations, including but not limited to air distribution, ducting, & piping systems.
  • Make sure materials and tools are being used correctly and properly maintained
  •  Make sure all construction field personnel are working safely and following company procedures
  • Distribute drawings and submittal data to construction field personnel
  • Ensuring that project(s) are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Ensuring resource availability and allocation for each assigned project
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Assist with HR and recruitment of field personnel. Review pay and job performance of workers under them
  • Reports problem(s)/questions to General Manager
