Low Voltage – Project Manager Job Function

The Low Voltage – Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for providing coordination and management for construction projects. The PM will coordinate with internal departments, vendors, contractors and designers to construct a project on time and within approved budget.

.Low Voltage – Project Manager Performance Expectations

Upon Completion of First 30 days

         Develop relationship with operations team members (office manager, technicians, current program manager, operations coordinator) showing sign of trust and respect from the team

         Develop relationship with the Leadership team (President and Vice President/GM) showing sign of trust and respect

         Understand internal project processes, roles & responsibilities (expectations) of all employees

         Understand our current projects and customer base, both commercial and federal

         Understand our distribution partners, preferred manufacturers, and the process from bidding to invoice (general overview)

         Understand our approach to site survey’s, estimating and follow thru

         Have a basic understanding of QuickBooks, T-Sheets, Team Up Scheduling and the internal share drive

Upon Completion of First 60 days

         Demonstrate a working understanding of QuickBooks

         Demonstrate the capability to estimate new projects for assigned customer accounts

         Take over project management of assigned customers

         Demonstrate capability to effectively work with associated trade contractors (MEP) & GC’s

         Demonstrates capability to project scheduling requirement, coordinating with VP/GM

         Understand our customer profile

         Demonstrate proactive problem solving – working from a foundation of being a solution provider

         Demonstrate collaborative working relationship with Leadership

Upon Completion of 6 months

         Have completed one BICSI PM course, as identified previously by the leadership team for improved industry knowledge

         Working with leadership play a key role in recruitment, onboarding and training of new field technicians

         Demonstrate productivity and profitability of assigned customer accounts

         Industry involvement with the selected organizations as determined by the Leadership team

         Make recommendations to the Leadership team for a field technician performance-based bonus program

Upon Completion of 12 months

         Develop an effective training process for field technicians

         Collaborate with the Leadership team on Companywide best practices

         Provide insight into vertical market expansion (e.g. Access Control, AV, all Division 28)

         Meet or exceed objectives for all assigned customers and projects
