Commercial Glass and Glazing Sub-contractor working for the premier General Contractors and Building Owners in South Florida for all types of projects from Retail and General Commercial to mid-rise and university work seeking a field based representative as the liaison between the field Foreman and Project Management Responsibilities

As a Superintendent, you will:

  • Work closely with Project Manager(s) to complete projects per the project specifications
  • Serve as a liaison between the office and field personnel
  • Take “ownership” in all projects assigned to you
  • Schedule and manage jobsite management
  • Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously
  • Walk all projects on a daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the Builders’ Glass quality standards
  • Complete weekly “Tool Box Talks” and any required job site training if requested by General Manager
  • Review safety requirements and enforce safety policies with field personnel
  • Complete daily reports in Builder Trend software
  • Lead company asset management (tools, equip etc.) and shop maintenance (tools, equip, vehicles)
  • Lead field troubleshooting to include, but not limited to layout issues and punch list management
  • Help implement field operating procedures with all field personnel
  • Participate in weekly production meetings at main office
  • Attend jobsite meetings as needed
  • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction
  • Support the implementation of company growth plans
  • Effectively communicate with clients, vendors and co-workers
  • Work within the established Company processes and procedures
  • Be a proactive problem solver

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience as a Commercial Glazing Superintendent
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand and interpret plans and specification documents
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients in person, over the phone and via email
  • Possesses strong rapport and relationship building skills with co-workers, and clients
  • Results driven with a high standard of ethics and integrity
  • Ability to determine priorities and organize work assignments for best efficiency
  • Ability to travel to various locations across the Denver metro area to meet with clients
  • High School Diploma, GED or vocational school graduate. Preferably a college degree with emphasis in construction management. Basic math proficiency.
  • Experience as glazier/installer or advancement within the industry to Superintendent a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology including, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and Buildertrend a plus
  • Represent company in a professional manner and maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Have a current, valid Florida driver’s license, reliable transportation.
  • Be willing to submit to a background check or drug screening
